The “Black Plague”

When sanding bottom paint on a boat, paint dust flies into the air and lands on your boat. Absorbing into the gel coat and creating what we call as the “Black Plague”.
This creates a black speckle stain all over the top side of your boat. It’s nearly impossible to get this stain off, so what we recommend is having your top side serviced after shipyard periods. If you see this “Black Plague” pictured below. Consistently spray fresh water on your boat (believe it or not this will lift the stain). If by chance you just cannot remove the stain, before you go spending a bunch of money please give us a call for a free quote.
